Guerrilla Advertising extension
Our guerilla advertisement idea is one that is unique and breaks outside the box of traditional advertisements. It is an immersive experience that will not only stay in the mind of the viewer, but will be something they will talk about with many of their friends, spreading the idea further through word of mouth.
The idea is having a VR machine booth, where someone enters the “Comedown Machine” with a VR headset on, and they will experience an interactive version of the music video. The video will be playing the music and sound effects of the scene in different ears, making the viewer feel like they are truly there. The music video features cool psychedelic-like effects that last for a few minutes, giving the viewer a truly immersive “Comedown Machine” experience.
The booth can be placed in a variety of locations, but would mainly focus on trendy events and areas. For example the booth could be a feature at a music festival, a beach boardwalk, or outside of a bar. This would help draw in a demographic that fits the Strokes target audience of young adults who would enjoy their music and brand aesthetic.
